- Hotel Espoir The purpose of the Hotel Espoir is to help young, poor outcasts with little hope and a bleak future to overcome poverty and improve their quality of life through job training and working experience “Every time when I bend down to clean the shoes of rich people, I looked up at the customer and felt something burning in my heart, the picture of life is shown to my eyes” – Luong Vuong. Each day thousands of children look towards the street in order to survive. They come from impoverished families where the children are forced to live independently, fending for themselves for life’s basic necessities. Through Vuong’s own experiences his heart yearns for children who suffer the same grim living situations as he did. He sympathizes their struggles through his own. Motivation and determination are what propelled him to survive but during this time he wished for a guiding hand (which was received). He now wants to be that guiding hand for children who are in need. Hotel Espoir is a place for education, love, support and most of all a light of hope for children’s futures.
